Location & Directions
The Changi area sits at Singapore's eastern tip. The airport and Jewel are the obvious draw, but the wider coastline — Changi Village, the beach and boardwalk, the Pulau Ubin ferry and the WWII museum — is only a short ride east of the terminals. Here is how to get to all of it by MRT, bus, taxi or car, with a map of the whole area.

The Changi area
The Changi area is at Singapore's eastern tip. The airport sits on reclaimed land here and is the country\'s main international airport (IATA: SIN, ICAO: WSSS) — repeatedly voted the world\'s best, with four terminals (T1–T4) and the Jewel nature-themed complex connected by the free Skytrain. But "Changi" also names the older coastline east of the runways — Changi Village, Changi Beach, the boardwalk and the Changi Point ferry — that gave the airport its name and predates it by decades.

How to get there
Four ways to reach the airport. Routes and details below are taken from the official Changi Airport transport pages — see the dedicated pages for full timetables and fares.
MRT
Changi Airport MRT (CG2) sits on a branch of the East West Line, directly linked to T2 and T3. Ride to Tanah Merah (EW4/CG) or Expo (CG1/DT35) and transfer. First train out ~5:31 AM, last ~11:18 PM. See the MRT & Bus page for the full timetable.
Public bus
Services 24, 27, 34, 36, 44, 53, 110 and 858 serve T1–T3; 24, 34, 36, 44 and 110 serve T4. Pay by EZ-Link, contactless bank card, or exact cash.
Taxi & ride-hail
Metered taxis queue at the Arrival ranks of all four terminals. Airport surcharge: S$8 (5–11:59 PM) / S$6 (other times), on top of the meter and any midnight/peak surcharges. Ride-hail apps (Grab, Gojek, Zig, Tada, Ryde, Geolah) pick up at the Arrival / Ride-Hailing points.
Car
Three expressways serve the airport: the ECP (from the city), the TPE (from the north/east) and the PIE (from the west, connecting to the TPE). Eight 24-hour car parks across T1–T4 + Hub & Spoke, with a 10-minute grace period.
Public bus routes
The cheapest way to and from the airport (roughly S$2). Pay by EZ-Link, contactless bank card (admin fee for foreign cards), or exact cash. Routes below are from the official Changi Airport transport pages.
Basement bus bays
Bus stop next to Car Park 4B (27, 53, 858 nearby — or alight at T2 and take the free shuttle)
Beyond the airport
"Changi" is also the eastern coastline — the village, the beach, the boardwalk and the kampong island. If you have cleared immigration, they are a short ride east of the terminals.
