If you are airside in Terminal 3 this weekend, Dewar's Speakeasy Bar is on its last days. Changi Airport's official Changi 1st page lists the pop-up in T3 Departure Transit from 30 July to 8 September 2026. Some trade titles quoted later close dates. Trust the airport page if you are walking there today.
This is not a public-area bar. You need to have cleared departure immigration in T3. Landside visitors, Jewel shoppers and arriving passengers cannot walk in. Bacardi, Lotte Duty Free and Changi Airport Group built it as a first-at-Changi activation for the blended Scotch brand, billed as "The Dewar's Speakeasy, Hidden in Plain Sight."
The Spirits Business described a 36.3 sq m Art Deco-inspired room with a working cocktail bar. A brand ambassador called The Scout is meant to stop whisky drinkers in the corridor, hand over a gold-embossed envelope, and give a password. Inside, the Double Double back bar is the reveal. Moodie Davitt reported guided pours with food pairings, plus live music at selected times that turns the room into a small jazz set.
What is actually on the shelf
The Changi 1st page prices the travel-exclusive Double Double range, finished in sherry casks after Dewar's four-stage ageing:
- Double Double 20 Year Old, Oloroso finish, $150.00. Dried fruit, almond, warm spice.
- Double Double 26 Year Old, Palo Cortado finish, $228.00. Floral, honeyed fruit, light spice.
- Double Double 30 Year Old, Pedro Ximenez finish, $488.20. Dark chocolate, ripe fig, sweet spice.
Also listed: Dewar's 15 Year Old at $53.80, Double Agent 16 Year Old at $78, and 18 Year Old at $99.90. The Spirits Business also named Highball and Whisky Collins serves plus neat Double Double pours. Treat those as the bar list unless the counter has changed them this week.
The travel bag, and where else to buy
Spend $200 in the outpost, or $150 on iShopChangi as a Changi Rewards member, and Changi says you unlock a Dewar's travel bag, while stocks last. The same Double Double bottles are on iShopChangi at duty-free prices if you would rather skip the theatre and collect airside or on arrival.
Gift-with-purchase deals at airport whisky pop-ups vanish in the last 48 hours. If the bag is the reason you are going, ask at the door before you queue for a tasting.
This is a last-call piece for T3 departures on 6, 7 and 8 September. If your flight leaves from T1, T2 or T4, it is not on your way. If you land on 9 September, you missed it. The bottles remain on iShopChangi after the room comes down.
