Terminal 2 Food Guide: Kopitiam, 24-Hour Dim Sum, Transit Village

T2 is the terminal people search for by food-court name. “Changi Airport Terminal 2 Kopitiam” is its own query. After the rebuild the public floors filled back in — dim sum at arrivals, a Halal buffet, fried chicken on the Viewing Mall — and airside grew a satay bar, a food village, and the usual 24-hour kiosks.

Swensen's Unlimited

Use this as a map, not a menu. Landside Kopitiam and Swee Choon are the two names worth knowing before you even look at a gate. Airside, Straits Food Village is the local plate; Satay Club and Keisuke are the sit-down detours.

Hours in T2 shifted a lot after renovation. Treat every “24 hours” as a claim to re-check on the shop page the morning you fly.

How T2 is laid out for food

Public: Arrival Hall (Swee Choon, McDonald’s, Paris Baguette) and the Level 3 Viewing Mall / public restaurants (Texas Chicken, XW Western, Peach Garden, Ramen Keisuke, Claypot Daddy). The Kopitiam sits on the public side as the cheap, local food court — that is the page most Singaporeans want.

Airside: Transit Lounge Central and South. Straits Food Village, Satay Club by Harry’s, GOPIZZA, LiHO, Hard Rock, Bacha. If you have already cleared immigration, do not walk back out for Kopitiam.

T2 also connects toward Jewel and the skytrain. A long landside layover can leak into Jewel; a short one should not.

Terminal 2 Kopitiam

Level 3M · Public · Stall hours vary — some run very late

This is the T2 page. A proper food court, not a themed “village”: trays, mixed stalls, prices that still look like Singapore. Come here landside when you want local food and you do not want a S$28 burger. Walk the circuit once. The good stall is rarely the first one you see.

Swee Choon dim sum at Terminal 2 arrivals

Swee Choon Tim Sum

#01-07 · Arrival Hall · Typically 24 hours

The first 24-hour Swee Choon, parked in arrivals. Custard buns, rice rolls, late congee. This is the landing meal and also the “our flight is at 05:10” meal if you are still landside. Not Halal. Go early or accept a wait — the name travels.

Swensen's Unlimited

#01-03 · Arrival Hall · Typically 11am–11pm

A buffet in an arrivals hall sounds like a trap. This one is Halal, has a ridiculous ice-cream wall, and only makes sense if you have an hour and a child (or a sweet tooth you are willing to admit). Do not do this on a 35-minute connection.

Texas Chicken at Terminal 2 Viewing Mall
04Public / landsideHalalFried chicken

Texas Chicken

#03-22 · Viewing Mall South · Typically meal service

Halal fried chicken on the Viewing Mall. Predictable, fast, useful when Kopitiam looks too chaotic and the table wants something the kids will finish.

Ramen Keisuke

#03-15 · Viewing Mall · Typically lunch through late evening

Chef Keisuke’s local-twist bowls — laksa and bak kut teh ramen — upstairs on the public mall. Sit-down, not a 12-minute kiosk. Order the Singapore flavour; you did not come to T2 for a generic tonkotsu you can get in Tokyo.

Peach Garden

#03-16 · Viewing Mall · Typically dim sum / dinner service

The grown-up Chinese table on the public mall. Dim sum if you have time; a proper meal if someone is being sent off. Different job from Swee Choon downstairs — this is a restaurant, that is a 24-hour pit stop.

Straits Food Village

Level 3 · Departure Lounge Central · Stall hours vary

Heritage-themed hawker village airside — the local plate after immigration. This is T2 transit’s answer to T1’s SG Hawker. Walk it, pick one stall, sit. Do not treat it as a single restaurant with one kitchen.

The Satay Club by Harry's

#02-169 · Transit lounge · Typically long evening hours

Satay and a drink, airside, under a Harry’s sign. This is the layover that turned into a night. Not a 15-minute gate snack — order a dozen sticks and stay put.

GOPIZZA

#02-K-15 · Departure Hall · Typically early morning to after midnight

Korean personal pizzas in about five minutes. The chilli-crab pie is the only reason to talk about airport pizza. Fine for a solo traveller; skip it if you wanted chicken rice.

Listed because it is actually useful: 24-hour, arrivals, kids, people who have been in the air for 14 hours and want zero decisions. Not a recommendation so much as a fact.

Pick by need

The one T2 search: Kopitiam, public, Level 3M.

3 a.m. landside: Swee Choon, often McDonald’s. Airside: check Straits stalls and the 24-hour kiosks on the day.

Halal sit-down: Swensen’s Unlimited, Texas Chicken, XW Western Grill on the Viewing Mall.

Short airside connection: GOPIZZA or a single Straits stall. Not Satay Club, not Peach Garden.

Questions people actually ask

Where is the Terminal 2 Kopitiam?
Public side, around Level 3M — not airside. If you have already gone through immigration you cannot walk back to it. Eat at Straits Food Village instead.
Is Swee Choon really 24 hours?
The T2 arrivals outlet is set up as a 24-hour Swee Choon. Kitchen pauses and festive hours still happen. Check the shop page the day you fly.
Can I reach Jewel from T2 for more food?
Yes, landside. Only worth it if you have well over an hour and you want a mall, not a food court. For a short connection, stay in T2.
Is this the official T2 directory?
No. Independent picks with our photos. Full stall list is on our T2 dining page; official hours live on the airport site.
