The Macallan Carta Nautica booth is in Terminal 3 departure transit, on the Lotte Duty Free side, through 22 November 2026. After that it packs up and reappears in Terminal 2 from 26 November to 20 January 2027. You only see it if you have already cleared immigration. There is no landside copy of this one.
Changi Airport Group listed the installation under Changi 1st, the airport's short-run exclusive-launch slot. The Macallan, Lotte Duty Free Singapore and the airport built it for the world-first travel-retail release of Carta Nautica 20 Years Old. The Moodie Davitt Report was at the brand's Cannes launch and then published the T3 photography. What you actually walk into is a small pavilion papered in Amy Genser's ocean artwork, with pink-edged arches and those stacked coral stands that look more like sculpture than shopfit.
The 20-year-old was exclusive to Changi from 28 September to 18 October 2026. From 19 October it rolls out to other airports. The T3 booth does not close on the 18th. It stays as a Carta Nautica room, with the rest of the collection on the shelves, until 22 November. Do not mix those two dates. One is the whisky. One is the room.
America, Spain, Scotland on one table
The object worth stopping for is the oval table. Labels read America, Spain and Scotland. Travellers slide miniature casks along the route the oak actually takes: North American staves, seasoning in Jerez, then Speyside. Open the cask-shaped boxes if they are still latched. That is the whole point of Carta Nautica. The name is Spanish for nautical chart. The liquid is finished in a mix of sherry-seasoned oak and former bourbon casks. Official tasting notes run orange peel and charred pineapple into dried tropical fruit, caramel and toasted oak. Bottled at 42% ABV. The Spirits Business put the travel-retail 20-year-old at about US$800. Changi has not printed a Singapore dollar on the event page, so treat that as the published GTR figure, not a T3 till price.
A wall of circular "Guardians" portraits is the brand's Nautyria story, five stages of the cask's trip. Next to it, wooden cases of Carta Nautica Distilled in 1987, the first vintage in a new series, 38 years, 45.2% ABV. That bottle is not the 20-year-old. If a staffer offers bottle personalisation, Moodie Davitt said the Changi extra is a blue Merlion cap. Ask. Do not assume the station is staffed at 2am.
You have to be flying
Departure transit in T3 is after immigration. If you are meeting someone at Jewel, or eating nasi lemak in the village, this booth does not exist for you. The practical path is Changi Airport MRT (CG2), check-in, immigration, then the Lotte Duty Free wines and spirits run in T3. Louis Vuitton is in the same sightline as the pavilion in the press photos, which is a useful landmark if the wayfinding is noisy.
There is no public hour printed on the Changi 1st page. Transit shops in T3 follow flight banks, not mall hours. If your departure is a thin overnight bank, walk past once. If the shutters are down, the 22 November date is still the last advertised day in this terminal, not a promise that every hour until then is open.
Age rules for duty-free spirits apply. This is not a family photo spot. It is also not the Halloween Festival at CES, and it is not PokéXciting in November. Those are landside. This is a whisky room for people already holding a boarding pass.
